In Macau, the local subsidiary of American casino operator Wynn Resorts Limited has reportedly announced that it intends to reward all of its eligible non-executive workers with a ‘winter bonus’ worth up to one month’s salary.

According to a report from GGRAsia, the Wednesday declaration from Hong Kong-listed Wynn Macau Limited will cover almost 95% of the 13,000 employees at its Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai properties in honor of their hard work over the course of last year.

“The bonus is being awarded to show the company’s appreciation to all team members for their hard work and commitment during what has been a successful second half of 2017,” read a press release from Wynn Macau Limited cited by GGRAsia.

A particularly strong performance from the 1,706-room Wynn Palace Cotai reportedly helped Wynn Macau Limited to post a staggering 68.8% increase year-on-year in third-quarter aggregate revenues to $1.15 billion while the firm’s net profit for the three-month period hit almost $90 million.

GGRAsia reported that the move from Wynn Resorts Limited followed last week’s decision by fellow Macau casino giant SJM Holdings Limited to award its workers with a ‘living subsidiary’ bonus although none of the six operators in the former Portuguese enclave have yet announced plans to increase basic employee salaries for 2018.
